*Position Summary*:
Island Lighting and Power Systems, Inc.
(ILP) is a leader in the design, installation and maintenance of complex electrical systems in the greater New England area.
ILP is a family-owned business in its 31st year of operation.
From medium/high voltage electrical work to sports field lighting installation to renewable energy projects our personnel, facility, equipment and capabilities are best in class.
We are currently seeking a seasoned and experienced Corporate Controller.
The controller is responsible for supervising all the accounting activities of the company.
*Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller may include*:
* Preparation of financial statements
* Updating the general ledger
* A/R & A/P
* Budgeting expenses
* Working with outside professionals (CPA, lawyers, bankers) on accounting-related matters
* Staying compliant within tax laws
* Analyzing financial data
* Supervising other staff members and/or assigning them to complete special projects
* Assisting with developing and implementing organizational policies including coordination of human resources general functions
* Reviewing construction project contracts and documentation
* Understanding, preparing and managing AIA contracts
* Reporting to company owners on financial outlook, opportunities, challenges
*Desired Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent business experience
* 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience in the construction industry
* Knowledge of Foundation Construction Software, Quick Books and ADP Workforce Now
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
* Willingness to work 100% in-office

* Generally, range of $115,000 - $130,000
