Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (or 10am-6pm)
SUMMARY:
The Community Relations A/R Specialist is responsible for collecting rent, processing rent deposits, working with property management staff in conducting resident apartment inspections and participating in resident conferences.
This position is split between our Weymouth Commons, Faxon Commons, and Stone Run East locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Process rent checks received.
• Charge late fees.
• Review delinquency reports on a weekly basis to determine accounts needing attention.
• Send out balance and credit letters as needed.
• Send late notices and notices to quit under guidance of Assistant Property Manager/Property Manager.
• Work with Assistant Property Manager/Proper Manager on the legal process.
Send proper paperwork to attorney, attend court as needed.
• Send collection letters after move-out and reporting resident to collection agency.
• Audit resident files for compliance.
• Send out resident correspondence to collect any findings that are missing from file.
• Assist in the planning of resident events/activities.
• Serve as the liaison between the office/maintenance and the residents.
• Assist in handling resident complaints.
• Educate residents in pest prevention, apartment sanitation, apartment care, etc.
• Refer residents to social service agencies as needed.
• Work with maintenance staff conducting apartment inspections.
• Work with maintenance on following up on work requests.
• Assist in maintaining effective communication with local community agencies (Police, ISD, Board of Health, and Social Service agencies).
• Submit various reports as requested.
• Document and enter data of all interactions with residents.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times
• Complete required trainings as assigned.
• Attend required meetings as requested.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
A minimum of 6 months’ experience in office administration or finance.
Strong computer technology skills, including internet, Microsoft Office suite, Yardi and reporting.
Knowledge of general ledger processes.
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in residential multi-family property management resident relations.
