*Job Summary*
The Content Writer will serve as the main content creator writing for the marketing team for internal and external communications.
Writing will include technical content writing for training manuals and for our digital training platform, company processes, newsletters, targeted emails, client service phone scripts, website content and persuasive copy for company announcements.
*Training Content*
* Maintain company-wide and department-specific training manuals (digital platform and print materials), working with department leaders to update these as needed and ensure staff compliance with company processes
* Write instructional training content for our digital employee training platform (EdApp)
* Work with third-party content developers to ensure the content in our employee training platform (EdApp) is accurate, current, and user-friendly.
* Create and maintain all company forms (internal and client-facing).
* Write internal communications and documentation of company processes, working closely with relevant team members across departments and ensuring all materials are aligned with company brand, mission, and core values.
* Write scripts for our customer service professionals & other staff to follow when on the phone or speaking with clients to ensure cohesive, consistent messaging in line with our brand.
* Keep and maintain a master record of business rates, ensuring all price changes are updated and accurately reflected across all channels (training manuals, forms, rate card, website, etc.
).
* Capture company meeting notes and highlight actionable items.
* Weave our brand's mission, vision, and core values into day-to-day operations through training, documentation, and internal communications.
*Content Writing*
* Assist in writing and editing content (persuasive and creative) associated with company announcements (internal and external), articles, newsletters, website copy, internal educational materials, etc.
under the direction of the Marketing Director and ensuring it follows all branding guidelines.
* Assist in writing and editing SEO-focused content for website and digital channels (blog posts, landing page copy, meta descriptions, product descriptions for online store, business profile information in online directories, etc.
).
* Set up and write templates for email communications to clients (including auto-responses, transactional email templates, marketing emails, and targeted email campaigns).
* Assist in writing and editing copy for marketing emails, including targeted emails, auto-response emails, and other digital marketing campaigns.
* Assist Marketing Team in ensuring company information is accurate and up-to-date across all channels (website, social media, email templates, client-facing portal, etc.
).
* Write and send out a recurring internal email to employees with company updates (informational and fun).
* Assist in writing persuasive copy for awards submissions for our company.
* Update quarterly on-hold phone script for the business.
* Assist Marketing Manager in implementing segmentation/personalization strategies for marketing campaigns to ensure subscriber retention and engagement.
* Assist Marketing Team in writing scripts for videos as needed (e.
g.
, vet tips, nutrition videos, pet training tips, pet safety tips, etc.
)
*Other*
* Assist marketing team both on-site and off-site when special events occur, including attending events, preparing, and other tasks as needed (e.
g.
, Santa photos, animal rights rallies, company holiday party).
* Research PR opportunities (e.
g.
, awards) that can showcase the business model of JM Pet Resort.

*Job Requirements*
* Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Content Marketing, PR, or a related field.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a content creation, editing, or writing-focused role.
* Strong grasp of the English language, including grammar, tone, voice, and style.
* Ability to adapt writing style to fit different goals (inform/educate, entertain, persuade, build SEO value, etc.
) and tones (conversational, informative, professional, etc.
) as needed, while always aligning with branding guidelines and style guide.
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to style guides and brand guidelines.
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficient in digital writing tools, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and willing to learn digital tools as needed (email marketing · platforms, digital learning platforms, etc.
)
