Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays & Fridays remote.
As the Director of Integrated Business Planning, you will be responsible for leading the company's monthly Demand Planning and overall Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, with a strong focus on Driver-Based Forecasting for the former.
You will play a pivotal role in aligning cross-functional teams to deliver an accurate outlook on business performance and help to optimize supply chain operations through an accurate global demand plan while ensuring the entire IBP process is optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities: Oversee and optimize a comprehensive demand planning strategy that aligns with business objectives, considering data, market trends, and customer insights.
Lead the development of a process evolution from shipment to driver-based forecasting, leveraging consumption drivers as a key input.
Ensure system and data integration with ERP to enable smooth transition upon go-live, as a support to the Connected Planning workstream in the ERP project.
Monitor and analyze market conditions, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify potential demand fluctuations and adjust forecasts accordingly.
Review consumption information to compare consensus forecast versus performance at the Customer and total Product levels to continuously monitor and adjust for over / under performance.
Lead or have oversight of demand review meetings with stakeholders to present forecast updates, discuss key insights, address forecast-related issues, and make collaborative decisions while limiting bias.
Liaise with order fulfillment, replenishment, supply planning, marketing and sales to manage and resolve potential product availability issues.
Coordinate with the Supply & Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment between demand forecasts and procurement, production, and distribution plans.
Partner with all IBP functional teams to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of the Integrated Business Planning process while making and measuring continuous improvements.
Identify areas for process improvement across all steps of the IBP process within the IBP framework and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness with strong influence on cross-functional players.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement technology-enabled improvements - such as demand sensing or other software and analytics tools- in every step of the monthly cycle to enhance accuracy of plans and efficiency of process.
Build and manage a high-performing Team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support their growth and development.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Integrated Business Planning, supply chain management, or Demand Planning within the consumer-packaged goods industry.
Solid understanding of Retail/CPG demand/Supply Chain, particularly in the areas of Driver-based Forecasting, shipment forecasting, consumption analysis and forecasting, inventory management, trade promotions, market/category analysis, statistical forecasting software, etc.
Proficiency in consumption-based forecasting methodologies Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimizing demand planning operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across the organization.
Strong organizational & project management skills.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and production planning.
Experience with ERP systems and Advanced Planning tools.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization.
