Retail Personal Service Provider
Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Budtender to join our retail team.
As a Budtender, your primary responsibility will be to assist and educate customers in selecting the most suitable cannabis products to meet their needs.
You will create a welcoming and informative atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will also handle sales transactions, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with all legal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a positive and informative experience.
- Understand and stay up-to-date with the latest cannabis products, strains, and their effects, in order to make personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and needs.
- Educate customers on product benefits, usage, and potential risks, while promoting responsible consumption and harm reduction.
- Assist customers in selecting products, handling inquiries, and ensuring a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, cards, and electronic payments in compliance with store policies.
- Maintain inventory, restocking shelves, and notifying management of low stock, high-demand products, or potential inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations set forth by local and state governing bodies, including but not limited to age restrictions and ID verification.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations, industry trends, and advancements in cannabis products by attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences.
- Uphold a clean and organized budroom by regularly dusting, sanitizing, and arranging products according to store standards.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to the management team as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets, implement marketing strategies, and contribute to store efficiency and success.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, effects, and consumption methods.
- Proven customer service and sales experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and assist a diverse customer base.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in handling cash and transactions.
- Basic understanding of regulatory compliance and commitment to upholding legal requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
