*CannaBarn* is seeking passionate and personable full-time and part-time *Budtenders/Sales Associates* to join our recreational dispensary team in Abington, Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate has extensive cannabis product knowledge and customer service experience.
Budtenders at CannaBarn will be expected to provide friendly and helpful customer service, guiding customers to the best cannabis products to fit their unique needs.
As the face of the company who interacts with customers throughout the day, CannaBarn requires top-notch customer service skills, product knowledge, and a positive attitude.
While doing so, a Budtender must maintain compliance with all cannabis retail regulations and keep the sales floor and display cases clean and orderly.
Qualified applicants must have retail sales and customer service experience.
Cannabis industry experience is highly preferred.
*Responsibilities:*
* Greet customers with an enthusiastic and professional demeanor;
* Engage with each customer to determine what they want or need and make the best product recommendation for each customer;
* Educate customers by explaining the effects of different products and politely handle their questions, concerns, and complaints;
* Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations;
* Review product list daily and be educated and knowledgeable on all store products in order to provide the best customer service;
* Use our Point-of-Sale system to ensure transactions and all other relevant information is recorded and tracked accurately;
* Compute daily sales limits, sales prices, and total purchases and receive and process cash or debit payments.
Computer, cash machines, cashless ATMs, and point-of-sale (POS) terminals are used to complete sales transactions;
* Assist with opening and closing standard operating procedures (SOPs);
* Assist with opening and closing the dispensary by following company policies and procedures;
* Maintain sales floor, including restocking merchandise and cleaning/organizing displays;
* Meet sales quotas;
* All other job duties as assigned.
*Qualifications & Requirements:*
* Knowledgeable of cannabis products including strains, genetics, edibles, and consumption methods
* 1-3 years retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in cannabis industry
* Friendly, personable, and service-oriented
* Passionate about learning and staying current on cannabis products and trends
* Minimum 21 years of age
* Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
* Must pass any and all required background checks
* Must complete all required training programs and state agent registration.
