Your role at Samsonite:: The Business Analyst - Retail will be responsible for support and maintenance of various custom and “off-the-shelf” Retail IT Systems.
The position will support POS Systems, including Hardware and Software, Kiosks, and back-office solutions.
This position will work with Retail Stores, Retail Operations, and Support Center, providing support to others as needed.
The Business Analyst will work directly with APTOS Point of Sale, APTOS Sales Audit (AOM), POS Payment Solutions, and other APTOS application when needed.
This position will report directly to the Manager of Information Technology Retail Systems.
You will work on-site 4 days per week with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.
Understand business concepts and processes to effectively support the team with mediating new and existing business and technical challenges.
Translate business user requirements into system specifications leveraging existing retail applications.
Perform analysis and design, testing, QA, and post go-live support with incident and change management processes.
Perform daily IT operational support and daily checklists to ensure uptime of POS and Payment.
Create BRD (business requirements document) and other such documents for business requests and associated project artifacts.
Conduct testing of new POS code prior to deployment by creating test scripts and working with internal and external resources to validate results.
Lead and assist software and hardware rollouts for Point-of-Sale Registers, Payment, and Backoffice for the retail stores.
Manage open incidents (tickets, issues) in Service Management tool following ITIL processes.
Respond to requests in a timely manner and provide feedback on expected completion dates.
Responsible for supporting all Hardware within the store environment including POS, payment devices, scanners, tablets, and phones.
We're excited if you have:: BS/BA related field required.
2-5+ years’ experience in supporting retail business systems.
Experience in production support (24x7x365) environment following ITIL processes/guidelines.
Experience with system analysis in various application environments.
Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, and production support.
Basic understanding on networking and troubleshooting is required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, appropriate for a broad range including business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, offshore providers, and technical developers.
