We are seeking an experienced and motivated Perishable Manager to join our team.
The Perishable Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert at store level for all perishable departments.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and development; ensuring excellent customer service, and managing store operations.

Responsibilities:
The Perishable Manager has accountability for daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce, and Bake Shop Departments.
The Perishable Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, sales and profitability of those departments.
The Perishable Manager supports the respective Department Managers to allow them to concentrate on developing people in technical areas and supports management of daily operational and personnel issues.
The Perishable Manager will be held accountable for managing daily activities in above-mentioned departments including: People development, Diversity, and Labor Relations issues; Customer service; Sanitation and Safety; Compliance; Merchandising and Department Presentation; Sales and Profit Performance; Payroll and Productivity; and Administration.
Directs, oversees, and evaluates the training of all perishable department team members to reduce cost and control turnover, promote more efficient operations and to provide better control over labor costs.
Monitor and document associate performance, implementing action plans to address any performance issues and supporting their professional growth.
Cultivate a culture of excellence in customer service, setting the standard for best-in-class service across the store.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience; preferably in retail grocery with knowledge of produce, deli, meat, seafood, florist, or bakeshop preferred.
High School diploma or GED required, bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter with a proven track record of success.
Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across different functions.
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, inspiring and guiding teams to achieve goals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High level of customer service skills, with a genuine passion for exceeding customer expectations.
Creative and strategic thinking abilities to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Effective organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient operations.
