Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is currently searching for a Regional Clinic Manager for our clinics on the South Shore/Cape.
This is a full time, 5 days per week onsite opportunity.

The Regional Clinical Manager is responsible for the operational and clinical management of multiple practice locations and the oversight of all clinical staff.
Overall responsibility to guide and develop the patient care process within the locations assigned.
They will manage Milton, Pembroke, Weymouth, Wareham, Plymouth, Falmouth, Sandwich and West Yarmouth Evaluates patient flow, recommends MD/OD template adjustments to Director of Clinical Operations.
Reviews, investigates, and responds to patient satisfaction results of all assigned locations.
Personnel Management Manages and oversees staff schedules 30-days in advance paying close attention to PTO requests, provider schedules, and practice staffing needs by day/week.
Oversees and supervises the training and clinical competency assessments.
Ensures that each Clinical Supervisor and Lead Technician in their locations actively and effectively training and mentoring the clinical staff.
Interview, hire, and termination of clinical staff within assigned locations.
Supervises the Clinical Supervisor in each of the locations by evaluating their competencies and determining if additional clinical or managerial skills are required.
Performing salary reviews, and in conjunction with Clinical Supervisor and Lead Technician establish annual development goals for technical staff in their locations.
Organizes and conducts regular meetings of Clinical Supervisor and Lead Technician to ensure that all clinical leads are in communication with each other and helping each to grow their management skills.
Assists Clinical Supervisors and Lead Technician with problems and interpretation of policies to ensure patient and operational needs are met.
Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll including approving time off requests.
Implements ongoing patient and staff safety programs (fire, site specific safety programs, compliance training, etc.
) Performs related job duties as required.
Clinic Responsibilities Assures clinic space and resources are being utilized appropriately.
Make recommendations to the Director, Clinical Operations on operational efficiencies to increase utilization or decrease inefficiencies.
Responds to escalated patient or provider concerns including resolution to facility or clinical-based issues/variances.
Oversees the placement of new equipment purchased for their locations and the staffing needed for optimal use.
Utilizes Qualtrics data to assess and improve patient satisfaction.
Maintains all equipment, addresses issues and manages vendor interactions with equipment repairs and maintenance.
Quality Assurance Implements internal chart review program.
Provides continuing education resources to those not certified.
Implements and manages quality control including but not limited to medical waste management, assures all equipment testing calibration is carried out as required per policy.
Maintains proper oversight of injectable inventory.
Oversees continuous process improvement program.
Initiates and maintains disaster protocols and conducts annual OSHA Site Inspections.
Essential Skills and abilities Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and follow through skills.
Ability to train clinic personnel in all aspects of patient examinations, including technical workups, basic scribe/coding, minor surgical assisting, and diagnostics.
Proven ability to work effectively in a managerial role with development of clinic specific and individual team goals.
Ability to resolve conflict and deescalate tense staff or patient interactions.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Empathetic personality with concern for patients’ and employee needs.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor always.
Ability to make data driven decisions utilizing Qualtrics, QGenda, Epic.
Demonstrated computer literacy including all Microsoft office applications.
Education and Experience Certified as technician (COT Preferred), medical technologist, or ophthalmic executive.
Five years’ experience in supervision of Ophthalmic clinical operations.
Working and practical knowledge of all aspects regarding ophthalmic patient care.
Demonstrated skills in motivating and execution of training professional staff.
Knowledge of Qualtrics, QGenda, and Epic is highly desired, Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
Previous budget management.
College degree preferred.
Reports To: Director, Clinical Operations.
Supervision Exercised: Clinical Supervisor Typical Physical Demands Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, ability to traverse office, some bending, stooping and stretching.
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requires manual dexterity to work with ophthalmic equipment and maneuver a patient if in a wheelchair, must be able to accurately type information into EMR system.
Requires ability to communicate verbally, and a normal range of hearing and eyesight to report, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and work occasional irregular hours.
