Assistant Residential House Manager – Sign on Bonus! Paid Training! Schedule: Tues 3p-11p, Wed 2p-10p, Thurs 1p-11p, Fri 2p-8p, Sat 3p-11p Full Time: 40 Hours Pay rate: $17.
15 per hour - paid training provided by Venture! Sign on Bonus: $2,000 for full-time and $500 for part-time employees The Assistant Residential House Manager reports to the Residential House Manager.
The assistant is responsible for the general daily care of program individual/service recipients and for primary program service delivery.

The Assistant Residential House Manager will assume the responsibility of the Residential House Manager in their absence.
This position will be compensated on an hourly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Development and implementation of ISP's, behavior plans and assessments to insure individual input, relevance to program goals, feasibility and capabilities of individuals.
To include participation in creating, developing and implementing behavior plans.
Serve as programmatic supervisor to Direct Support Professionals.
Consistently communicate information to Direct Support Professionals, parents, guardians and day programs as designated by Residential House Manager.
Oversee handling of individual accounts, and the house budget as directed by the Residential House Manager.
Ensure monthly fire drills are completed in accordance with DDS regulations.
Identify renovation/repair needs of the program.
Identify and follow through on maintenance needs of vehicle.
Attend meetings with management personnel from other agencies and the Department of Developmental Services as requested by Residential House Manager.
Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.
Prepare weekly staff meeting agenda specific to individual centered issues and programmatic issues.
Coordinate and assist with planning of individual leisure/recreation time.
In the absence of the Residential House Manager perform all functions of that position.
In the absence of the Residential House Manager communicate with Administrative personnel on the day-to-day operation of the program.
Insure the program maintains the standard outlined in the Department of Developmental Services Mission Statement, the Survey and Certification Tool, as well as requirements of Performance Based Objectives.
Maintain records and document daily data.
Educate, supervise and monitor individual self-medication programs.
Educate and train individuals in goals and objectives specified in ISP.
Educate and assist individuals with meal preparation and food shopping.
Educate and assist individuals with finances, banking, receipts, purchasing and maintain records.
Educate, transport, accompany and provide supervision to individuals in/to their place of worship.
Physically assist individuals in transfer and carries, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory.
Physically escort/restrain individual during emergency situations or behavioral episodes, physically assist individuals in bathing and personal hygiene tasks which may include lifts and supports to individuals with body weights of 150-250 pounds.
Implement Agency policies and procedures as defined in the Agency Policy and Procedure Manual.
Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Promote cost effectiveness by monitoring electric and telephone usage, etc.
Complete Supervisors Training.
Assistant Residential House Manager will be assigned specific responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: Advocate: All full time staff will have advocate responsibilities for one of the people living in the home.
Responsible for preparation of Advocate Agenda for staff meetings and lead discussion concerning the person.
Prepare all data and documentation for End of Month submission Ensure all records are complete, neat and in proper order Assure all medical, dental, personal, and social needs are met.
Perform safety check of home, van and grounds utilizing safety checklist and report at staff meeting.
Attend Safety Committee meetings quarterly.
Bring report back to safety meeting regarding general and seasonal safety issues.
Maintain ongoing focus on safety and best practice within the program.
Healthy Eating Officer’s will comply with Agency standards set-forth in the Nutritional Healthy Eating Policy and Procedure, Agency training, any and all training materials utilized to support the policy and procedure, and all duties outlined in the Direct Care/Healthy Eating Officer job description.
Participate in ‘Food for Health’ training.
Prepare weekly menus in compliance with dietary orders/needs of the individuals.
Lead staff meeting discussions around healthy eating.
Take primary responsibility for preparing shopping lists and maintaining healthy pantry/freezer items in the house.

e.
meal preparation and demonstrations) MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Residential House Manager in evaluating Direct Support Professionals.
Ability to coordinate and conduct staff meetings in absence of Residential House Manager.
Coordinate ongoing medical, dental, psychiatric services as needed or directed by Residential House Manager to ensure optimal health to the individuals.
Create daily working schedule in the absence of the Residential House Manager and provide emergency coverage as necessary.
Implement staff recognition.
Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP & Safety Care certifications.
Complete Agency Orientation.
Maintain trainings specific to individual programmatic issues.
Complete forms, questionnaires and reports as required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to identify report and follow instructions and manage priorities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include overtime, sleepover coverage (2-4 nights weekly), and night awake coverage as needed.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills Actions should reflect judgment that would not jeopardize the health and safety of the individual.
Ability to maintain effective time management skills.
Ability to advocate and establish rapport with the disabled population, their families and co-workers, and service providers.
Collaborate with Residential House Manager on all necessary issues.
Requirements: Associates degree preferred and one year experience in a residential program.
Must be 21+ years old, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, daily use of a car on site (preferred but not required) and be available by telephone for daily contact.
