They are looking for an experienced Director of Demand Planning that understands how to build consensus and business processes that span across many functions and geographies in a highly seasonal business.
This person will work strategically and tactically within the organization and will have responsibility over the Demand Planning processes and governance.

Position Description:

As the Operations team continues to grow and take shape of best-in-class organization, we are looking for a seasoned demand planning professional to take charge of a business-critical, complex and yet exciting responsibility.
The role will be primarily based out of our Boston area office with appropriate freedom of decision-making and ownership as well as hybrid structure of work environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Demand Planners to deliver plans for their assigned set of customers / brands.
Advance demand planning standard methodologies, sets strategic and tactical goals for the organization, and drive follow through of major milestones.
Acts as the voice of the team in all cross-functional discussions within and outside of US responsibility.
Supports a culture of exception management by proactively identifying major issues and opportunities around demand and supply.
Drives a culture of excellence in analysis and execution while taking ownership of identifying issues in Demand Planning to drive quantifiable solutions and positive business results.
Leads monthly demand-supply reconciliation and S&OP process in collaboration with cross functional partners.
Creates systemic processes with in-depth retail analysis skills to deliver an agnostic view of shipment potential.
Participates in goal setting and is the active leader in forecast accuracy improvement.
Background Required:
Bachelor’s Degree.
5-10 years’ experience in supply chain, specifically in demand, supply, and allocation planning for toy industry, retail or comparable seasonal high SKU-count CPG industry such as fashion.
Ability to thrive in a global, multi-cultural or multi-country environment while building cross functional trusted partnerships and facilitating consensus within and across work teams.
A strong work knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including customer service, supplier and asset management.
Passion for crafting process and systems improvement.
Skills in analysis, influencing, negotiation, communication and navigating a sophisticated global organization.
Energy for working in a sophisticated, collaborative, fast-paced environment, and handling several projects at a time.
