*Responsibilities and Duties*
* Must be self motivated and have strong communication and organizational skills
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the crew members to ensure efficient and high-quality work
* Train new crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures
* Assist in accurately recording all work completed on job site
* Monitor the progress of projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget
* Keeping a professional and safe work environment for yourself and your crew
* Organizing tools, material, and equipment for the jobs
* Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
* Assist in performing routine maintenance on equipment
* Must be able to drive a truck & trailer responsibly
* Maintain weekly mow, edge, trim accounts
* Perform weeding and bed care to Commercial and Residential accounts
* Able to safely operate stand on mowers and other gas powered equipment.
* Able to carry backpack blower for long periods of time mostly Spring & Fall.
* Able to work in a variety of weather temperatures and conditions
*Qualifications and Skills*
* 2+ years experience in Lawn Maintenance
* Punctual, courteous, reliable and responsible
* Available to work Saturdays if needed
* Valid MA Drivers License
* Valid DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one
* Able to work with crew members and have a positive attitude
* Knowledge of commercial mowers, aerators, de-thatchers, string trimmers and other maintenance related equipment
* Perform physical tasks, including lifting 50 lbs.
, walking, wheelbarrowing, running small commercial equipment properly and in a safe manner
* Ability to run commercial lawn mowers
* Planting experience, plant identification and knowledge is a plus
* Utilize hand tools and equipment
*Expectations*
In the absence of the Maintenance Manager you will be expected to fill in as the "go to" on the job site for other crew members.
You will be expected to create a plan for the workflow on the job site, accurately estimate material needed and used at the job site, have knowledge of specific job related tasks and tools need for that job and solve problems that arise on the job site and adapt to the changes presented to you and the crew in a timely and efficient manner.
