The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking to fill a Residential Supervisor II position.
The Residential Supervisor is responsible to supervise two residential homes located in Middleboro, MA.
and Raynham, MA.
Duties and Responsibilities: (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive.
) Supervision, training, evaluation, and scheduling of approximately 25 direct support staff.
Implement consumer individual service plans (ISP).
Provide direct support as needed to enhance the fulfillment of the consumer’s human rights, individual control, and community membership.
Monitor residential and consumer funds.
Oversee consumer health coordination with nursing supports.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Department regulations, policies, and procedures.
Please Note: This position is designated as an "EMERGENCY" position in the Department of Developmental Services Emergency Plan.
This means that whenever the Governor declares that the Commonwealth is in a state of emergency, the selected candidate will be required to report to work.
The Residential Supervisor II position is in a program that operates 24-hours/7 days a week.
Candidates must be flexible in their work schedule.
The Department requires employees in this position to be able to perform Mandatory Overtime when circumstances dictate the need.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Microsoft programs.
Experience working with individuals have Intellectual Disabilities; Skills using communication styles and/or augmentative communication systems.
Special Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
SCHEDULE Information: Full-time – 40-hour weekly position - 1st and 2nd shift (Day & Evening Shift) Day Shift - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6:30 AM -3:00 PM Late Shift - Tuesday - 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
Days off – Friday and Saturday Flexibility with work schedule is required.

SUBSTITUTIONS: - A Bachelor's degree with a major in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services or education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for two years of the required nonsupervisory experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience.
- A Master's or higher degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services or education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for an additional year of the required nonsupervisory experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience.
- One year of education equals 30 semester hours.
Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
- No substitution will be permitted for the required supervisory experience.
