What Product or Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

This function implements the business strategy by developing and commercializing products and services and managing them throughout their full life cycles.
Product & Solutions Marketing defines marketing strategies and manages products and services throughout their life cycles to meet and exceed revenue and profitability objectives.
The Product Manager identifies customer needs and conducts market research to inform marketing strategies and offerings.
This role also defines pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.
Accountabilities
Actively manage US Electrocardiography business, including product pricing, promotions, sales enablement, demand planning and competitive positioning of key features.
Analyze the competitive product environment for Electrocardiography market providers, and define and execute strategies and tactics for success based on market dynamics.
Support and develop sales collateral rebranding and creation, as well as thought leadership and awareness content and campaigns.
Support local and GPO pricing strategy and RFPs.
Interface with sales organization to support pricing and contract discussions and negotiations and product inquiries/issues with customers.
Work with customers directly through quarterly field rides, Voice of Customer research, advisory council events, and trade shows.
Demonstrates strong financial acumen and P&L management.
Provide insights on state of US market and collaborate on strategic initiatives with adjacent marketers, including Global Portfolio Management.
Identify and recommend on new product opportunities based on market need with established business case and financial outlook.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4+ years experience in related field, preferred
Medical device product management experience, preferred
Ability to travel 10% of the time domestically
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
