The Director of HR and Recruitment reports to the Vice President of HR.
The Director of HR and Recruitment will drive critical human capital initiatives and associated business results.
Leads activities and ensures successful achievement of objectives related to employee engagement, workforce management, performance management, impacts overall business performance, and employee engagement by providing strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across the Medical Center.
Further, this role proactively diagnoses issues and opportunities and takes necessary action to bring timely resolution.
Will work closely with the facility's Executive Director on a variety of HR operational, day-to-day priorities.
Position Title: Director of HR and Recruitment Reports to: VP of HR Department/Sub-Dept: HR Dept Position Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training, and leadership development.
Function as a strategic human capital business advisor to the senior management team.
Develops initiatives, policies, and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization.
Oversees benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent.
Keeps VP of Human Resources aware of employee relations issues and seeks guidance on complex matters.
Reviews potential legal issues with the VP of HR and consults with Legal counsel when warranted.
Prepares requested documentation and participates in matters as requested by counsel.
Advises and counsels clinical leaders regarding job performance and behavioral issues concerning their employees.
Recommends appropriate courses of action and works with managers to document performance and/or disciplinary issues.
Full-cycle recruiting.
Attracting suitable candidates through job boards/databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
Partnering with functional business leaders, hiring managers, and other key stakeholders to identify talent needs and/or gaps associated with facility staffing goals and develop and implement programs to find the right talent.
Providing value-add recruiting advice and demonstrating understanding of talent needs to hiring managers and key senior leaders/decision makers.
Providing input into the functional recruitment strategy, including early career, sourcing, pipelining, and executive to ensure alignment with business and HR goals.
Completing other duties as assigned, such as participating in, leading, and/or championing relevant special projects.
Position Requirements Competencies Effective Communication and tailoring to the audience Problem Solving Critical Thinking Change and Conflict Management Education & Work Experience Bachelors from an accredited institution.
Five or more years of HR experience Three years or more of professional experience in Talent Acquisition required Schedule Monday ? Friday The facility is open 24/7 and must be flexible to accommodate inquiries due to escalated HR issues.
8 am ? 5:30 pm Physical & Travel Demands Lifting 20 lbs.
Ability to travel 10% as needed to our corporate office in Miramar, Florida.
