Job Summary The Director, Community Investments enhances the visibility and relevance of Point32Health in the community.
It is one of the most visible ways to show up in community and create positive system and policy changes that improve health and wellbeing by partnering and investing in community.
The Foundation’s grant strategies and focus areas generate positive policy and system change; build trust, partnership, and visibility with stakeholders; and support action among community stakeholders on issues prioritized by community.
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing Support the continuous performance improvement of grants team, including professional growth and development by providing development opportunities (sector and professional), fostering productive team environment and learning.
Provide strategic leadership leveraging community investments and relationships to transform systems and advance public policies that improve the health and wellbeing of the diverse communities where the company does business.
Develop, implement, and advance Foundation grant making process and principles, strategies, and goals by directing current and emerging initiatives in support of overall Foundation goals and objectives, and needs of the field.
Generate deep community engagement as convener, collaborator, and advocate; respond to priorities set by diverse community leaders, grant seekers, public officials, and other community stakeholders.
Support all facets of capacity building for nonprofits, applicants, grantees, company employees and contractors as needed (to include evaluation and reporting).
Lead grant making in MA and RI.
Represent the Foundation locally, regionally, and nationally in related sectors/fields.
Participate in activities to develop skills and knowledge, including seminars, conferences, and independent study.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications – what you need to perform the job EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: BA/BS minimum Masters preferred EXPERIENCE (minimum years required): At least 10 years of relevant experience in community-based issues, non-profit organizations, program strategy development and program management, philanthropy, budget preparation and management.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Philanthropy, relationship management, communications expertise Social determinants of health; overall health Diversity, equity, and inclusion Nonprofit sector; government relations; philanthropy; health New England region at state and local levels Public health, health care access, social services, government benefit programs including Long Term Services and Supports Strategic planning/change management People management Strong presentation and facilitation skills Systems and analytic thinker Advocate social racial and equity issues Proximate to community WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (include special requirements, e.
g.
, lifting, travel): Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
