Job Description: As the Dance Lead for the New England Knockouts, you will play a pivotal role in creating captivating dance routines and leading our talented dance team in electrifying performances during baseball games.
You'll inspire creativity, teamwork, and excellence while contributing to the overall excitement and energy of our events.
Responsibilities: Develop creative and high-energy dance routines suitable for live performances at baseball games.
Lead rehearsals to train and prepare the dance team members, focusing on technique, choreography, and synchronization.
Collaborate with the game day entertainment team to coordinate performances and integrate dance routines into the overall entertainment program.
Provide constructive feedback and coaching to dancers to enhance their skills and performance quality.
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes camaraderie, respect, and professionalism.
Assist with the recruitment and audition process to maintain a talented and diverse dance team roster.
Coordinate costume selection, music choices, and props for performances in alignment with the team's branding and themes.
Ensure the safety and well-being of dance team members during rehearsals and performances.
Qualifications: Extensive dance training and performance experience, with expertise in various styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, or pom.
Proven experience as a dance coach, choreographer, or instructor, preferably in a live entertainment or sports environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire dancers.
Creative vision and ability to conceptualize engaging routines suitable for large-scale live events.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively plan rehearsals and coordinate performances.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the baseball season.
CPR/First Aid certification and a background in dance education are desirable but not required.
