POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for daily operation of the dietary department including but not limited to development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Completion of required documentation and development of the annual budget.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other employees.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree with completion of a food service supervision course preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.
Regular and consistent attendance at the facility.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One year of supervisory experience in the planning, preparation and service of food in a healthcare facility or group feeding situation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: All Dietary Personnel.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Food Service Supervisor Certification and Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved Serve Safe Certification.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Executive Director.
