JC’sDairy opened it’s doors in 1972 and has been a family run mom and pop business since then.
I believe our greatest achievement has been our contribution to the many local students that have worked here over the years.
And the coffee pistachio twist is pretty good too.
Our student employees typically get this job early in high school and then keep it mostly through college.
It’s a good place to work and a great job to have as a student.
They all take it seriously enough but so far nobody has stayed to be a manager.
Except me.
I’m looking for an Assistant Manager.
Are you a Mechanically inclined OCD Foodie with an Entrepreneurial itch that wants to join a Fun workplace? As Assistant Manager your job will be to help maintain and develop the location on rte.
53 in Hanover.
You will work together with the current owner/manager to improve production in order to facilitate the launch of a new product.
You will play a pivotal role in the new business development with room for your own creative touches.
But first you need to know how to run everything at our shop as it runs now, as well as have some ideas on how we will improve it.
You will need some mechanical skills.
Cleaning, lots of cleaning.
You will make ice cream so you’ll need confidence and strength in the kitchen.
Customer service.
Smiling, always smiling because you’re having a good time at work.
It’s Ice Cream.
People are pretty happy about ice cream and we want you to be happy too.
We want this to be a profit sharing opportunity.
A chance for you to own part of a business if you’re willing to work hard and take it seriously.
First you need to excel at running the shop at JC’s for a full season.
Your pay will start at minimum wage until you have a basic skill set, then incremental raises and commission opportunities to follow.
Tips for your time at the window.
The job consists of 4-5 days +/- 30 hours per week.
Your work days can be flexible or a fixed schedule.
There is potential for additional hours.
April 1 - June 1 10:00-4:00+ 5 days a week June 1 – Sept.
