Asst.
Group Leaders:
Before School: Monday - Friday 6:45 am - 8:45am
After School: Monday - Friday 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm
We are looking for a responsible, efficient and kind individual who is capable of working in a diverse and dynamic environment.
The Asst Group Leader is responsible for supporting a team of childcare workers and families and making sure that all assigned tasks are completed to the company's high standards.
The ideal candidate for this position has excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work within a team to accomplish common goals.
This is a part time position with both before school and afterschool hours available operating Monday through Friday.
Successful candidates with desire to work with young children must be at least 16 years of age; preferred experience working with school age children.
Successful candidates should provide community leadership for family/child development, encourage life-long learning in students, promote the YMCA’s core values, and show commitment to the Y’s three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
All educators employed by the South Shore YMCA Afterschool Program will be required to successfully complete the following trainings included in our on- boarding process; CPR/First Aid, OSHA and Emergency Procedures, Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting, new employee orientation and South Shore YMCA Afterschool orientation including all EEC requirements such as online medical training, PQ registration, and professional development trainings.
