_ *Organizational Structure & Overview* _The Red Lion Inn Sales Manager's focus is wedding sales and social event sales.
This position requires a positive, dynamic individual with a proven track record in sales and negotiation.

, happy colleagues=happy guests=profit) _ _The Event Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth through the strategic planning, development, and execution of successful sales strategies for the Red Lion Inn event and banquet spaces.
_ _The Event Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales, Events, & Marketing and works closely with the Event Production Team and General Manager.
This position involves personal involvement with all clients.
In this role, you will drive the sales process.
This position requires a driven, positive, innovative individual—45+ hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
_ *Position Profile* *The Red Lion Inn Event Sales Manager will: * * _Develop and implement a comprehensive wedding sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for the Red Lion Inn event spaces.
_ * _Analyze sales performance data and financial reports to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
\\_ * _Generate new business through onsite visits, cold calling, community networking, curated and timely outreach on Wedding Pro and Zola web-based platforms, and other lead-generation sources.
_ * _Respond promptly to client inquiries, providing detailed information, proposals, and custom solutions.
_ * _Maintains accurate lead inquiry and sales reporting to present to the executive leadership team_ * _Conduct tours to showcase the Red Lion Inn event facilities and services.
_ * _Manages schedules for tours and trains extended team within best practices for hosting tours on property.
_ * _Collaborate with the executive leadership team to set sales goals and objectives aligned with the overall business strategy.
_ * _Manages proposal process and client bookings; troubleshoots contractual issues or client problems.
_ * _Conducts market research to identify sales growth opportunities and industry and local trends and be apprised of competing venues' strategies_ * _Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to develop customized wedding sales incentives, event packages, pricing structures, seasonal incentives, and promotional offers.
_ * _Communicate and collaborate with internal departments, such as accounting, culinary, restaurant, banquet, marketing, and operations.
_ * _Assist and support the Production Team to ensure seamless execution of events, pre-, onsite, and post-event.
_ * _Consistently and effectively communicates accurate event information to the Event Producer assigned to the event.
_ * _Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring expenses are within allocated resources.
_ * _Maintains an accurate filing system for past, tentative, and upcoming events.
Uses catering software and systems to their full potential.
Keeps accurate records and details of all client transactions and correspondence.
_ * _Attends daily/weekly sales and BEO meetings to update the team on upcoming events.
_ * _Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that encourages creativity and proactive problem-solving.

_ * _Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
_ * _Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
_ * _Computer Skills: Proficiency in __*Caterease*__, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
_ * Familiarity with Canva and Social Tables is a plus.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * _Activities include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
