Seasonal Snack Bar Manager

Duxbury Yacht Club is seeking a hands-on Seasonal Snack Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two snack bars from mid-May to mid-September.
The snack bars are most active during the 11am-1pm lunch hours.
While there will be opportunities for time off, the snack bars are open 7 days per week and the manager will be expected to work most weekends.
There will be 15-20 box-lunch events during snack bar hours and 2-3 extended days for special events.
The Snack Box Manager reports to the Snack Bar Committee Chair.
Duxbury Yacht Club is a 500-member family club with golf, tennis, sailing and pool facilities and two snack bars, located within 100 yards from one another (one at the pool and the other at the golf clubhouse).
The golf facility is open Wed-Sun mid-May to mid-September and and the pool opens daily mid-June through Labor Day.
Shared housing may be available for this position.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of two seasonal snack bars * Hire and manage snack bar staff, including shift scheduling * Process sales and train staff on a point-of-sale system and review and approve weekly time sheets * Manage inventory and responsible for food and soft drink order purchasing and receiving * Create a snack bar menu and oversee (and participate in as needed) cooking, food preparation and food service * Direct and oversee general upkeep and custodial duties in snack bar areas * Assure proper cleaning techniques and food safety procedures following Board of Health, Servsafe & TIPS certifications as needed * Develop and maintain records as needed for Board of Health Department QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in a managerial position in the food and beverage or culinary industry is a plus * Excellent leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively manage inventory and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are crucial * Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and ability to ensure the snack bars are Board of Health Department compliance is required.
