Delivery Route Supervisor Assistant & Shipping/Receiving Representative

Boston's Best Coffee is seeking a hard-working, committed leader to assist in supervising our delivery drivers, in addition to assisting warehouse management with daily shipping and receiving operations.
The Delivery Route Assistant Supervisor's main responsibility is to help supervise the drivers loading up their vehicles every morning (Monday-Friday) at 5am and ensuring that drivers deliver the correct product to customers on time.
This includes checking pre-picked orders against invoices as drivers are loading their vehicles to make sure all products are accurate and all products are put on the vehicle; dividing routes up properly to ensure drivers are given correct workload and all orders will be delivered on-time; addressing any driver issues (flat tires, called in sick, etc.
); and acting as one of the general points of contact for drivers throughout the day as well as answering daily questions from the office on delivery or driver-related issues.
The Delivery Route Assistant Supervisor will also assist in the shipping/receiving warehouse once drivers have been loaded up and are on the road for the day.
This includes picking orders; checking orders; preparing bill of ladings; getting quotes on freight; preparing UPS orders; organizing warehouse; forklift work and other general shipping/receiving tasks.
The position is salaried.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 5am to 3:00 pm depending on warehouse and delivery needs.

The Delivery Route Supervisor: * Must be physically fit, able to work in warehouse environment and do some heavy lifting * May need to cover for delivery drivers as needed and conduct deliveries when necessary * Must be comfortable and adept at using cell phone, computer, and email A qualified candidate will must: * Have a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving * Think on one's feet & practice commonsense * Be a strong leader with the necessary skills to provide proper guidance and supervision of delivery drivers * Be a strong communicator as to be able to provide clear explanations or status updates to coworkers on the status of a delivery or driver issue * Work well with others * Manage stress and tackle problems calmly as they appear * Follow direction from company managers Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.
