Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Data Analytics and Health Plan Operations, the Manager of Population Health Analytics, is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the IDN Data Analytics Operations, including ticket management, user provisioning, platform management and any IDN data projects.
The Manager of Population Health Analytics will also lead operational efforts around health plan data reporting, abstractions and appeals management.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Serve as the main point of contact on commercial and government payer reporting, abstraction and appeal requirements
• Build relationships with South Shore Health IDN colleagues to optimize the use of Arcadia systems
• Stay abreast of Arcadia system modifications, new releases and training opportunities
• Effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders commercial and government payer operational and data requirements
• Coordinate all payer required data abstraction and reporting efforts, appeals and audits – ensure a comprehensive and complete submission of any plan/program requirements
• In partnership with the Data/Analytics Director, serve as the main point of contact on special projects as assigned
• Serve as lead on managing Arcadia user credentials, rolling out of practice based Arcadia tools, and coordinating/developing Arcadia user training
• Manage chart abstraction / analyst staff
• Partner with South Shore IDN and South Shore Health System leadership in strategy development and goal setting - advise on key measures of focus and appropriate targets
• Support the Population Health and Contracting clinical team on the implementation of best practices and workflows to support maximum data/analytics performance in quality, patient, and efficiency experience
• Support internal boards and committees charged with advancing quality and performance
• Plan and support efforts to capture race and ethnicity data and promote health equity
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Bachelors Degree
Minimum Work Experience
5+ years of experience in health care data analytics, data support roles, value-based operations, process improvement and project management
Contemporary knowledge of Arcadia Analytics data platform is a must
Project Management background is preferred
Working knowledge of quality metrics such as HEDIS, NCQA or National Quality Forum type metrics preferred
Working knowledge of commercial risk-based contracting, alternative payment methodologies and the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) preferred
Additional Knowledge and Abilities

Robust data analytics skills and ability to translate data driven insights into clear priorities and interventions
Must have a driver’s license and ability to travel locally or regionally up to 80% of the work day
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of Arcadia Analytics platform is a must
