Our Operations Division, also referred to as Commonwealth Alternative Care, is a market leader in the cultivation, processing, production, distribution, and sale of a wide variety of cannabis products.
We operate two dispensaries in Taunton and Brockton, MA, and have a license to operate one more in Cambridge, MA.
In addition, through distribution arrangements, we have placed our products, and those of hundreds of strategic partners, into 50% of the dispensaries in MA.
The Quality Control Lead (QCL) is responsible for overseeing the inspection of all portioned extracted materials and the inspection of all products packaged for shipment to dispensaries.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed, including work that may fall under other departments.
The QCL reports directly to the Packaging Manager.
Responsibilities: Oversee departmental onboarding and orientation of new employees with regard to quality control processes and procedures.
Provide a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee and inspect all packaged products as the packaging team prepares them.
Inspections will be completed on an ongoing basis determined by the demand plan and workflow.
All inspections are documented, detailing applicable packaging data and listing any abnormalities found during inspection.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Ensuring that packaging information and labeling are accurate and listed clearly by State and local standards.
Ability to effectively train and develop new team members as needed.
Ability to comply with all documentation and record-keeping practices.
Other projects/tasks, as requested by the direct manager.
Overtime may occasionally be required.
Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Ability to effectively communicate within the department and with external partners.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands: This position works in an indoor, environmentally controlled workspace.
