Job Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Work Shift: Day (United States of America) 40hpw; Day Shift; Weekends as needed Job Description: Coordinates all functions related to inventory management.
Responsible for the process of ensuring organization of stock; while ensuring the timely rotation and minimizing expiration and shrinkage of asset inventories.
Provides support for cycle counting, store-room put away and specialty item inventory support as identified by supervisor and management team.
Job Responsibilities: 1.
Oversees department Receiving and Procurement staff in utilization of the inventory management system; providing overview orientation to all new employees as needed to perform assignments.
2.
Run and execute replenishment reports as needed and coordinate with purchasing to ensure inventory is arriving in a timely manner to support hospital needs.
3.
Works closely with staff from all areas assist with the assurance of the provision of the material necessary to provide patient care.
4.
Provides recurring and timely services to achieve departmental initiatives relative to supply requirements.
5.
Responsible for monitoring product availability and ensuring pro-active actions to ensure availability of acceptable alternative product – if required.
6.
Actively manages review of all reports relative to optimal stock levels; including periodic and ongoing trended tracking and adjusts prior to any disruptive event.
7.
Coordinates with Supervisor to manage the marking of substitute items in the storeroom…identifying for the team members to ensure timely replenishment of items.
8.
Manages daily put away of new stock into storeroom locations ensuring product is rotated and positioned for quick replenishment of pick orders by Material Distributors.
9.
Resolves problems relative to inventory balances.
10.
Prepares scheduled inventory accounting processes.
11.
Manage the replenishment and stocking of “code carts” to support needs.
12.
Oversight of physical inventory including but not limited to: Supporting physical inventory semi-annually.
Oversight of inventory discrepancies and counts (Workday to actual shelf count).
Storeroom inventory (adding/deleting/modifying items).
Addressing and correcting receiving errors and missed receipts.
13.
Supports recalls, cost reduction initiatives and material’s services throughout the BILH system.
14.
In conjunction with supervisor, review trends in departmental requests and coordinate the update of min/max par locations in the storeroom.
15.
Provide inventory support back up for Manager related to inventory transactions and replenishment.
16.
Ensures that all inventory control processes operate within the established hospital departmental policies and procedures.
17.
Assists in clerical functions associated with monitoring of supply distribution and storage of supplies.
18.
Maintains good working relationships with all hospital departments by providing service, management assistance and open communication.
19.
Maintains adequate operating supply levels in the hospital and coordinating timely supply distribution.
20.
Assures that records are maintained in conformance to institutional policies, as well as regulatory agency and governmental directives.
21.
Exhibits and applies overall problem-solving skills to maximize efficiency and operations.
22.
Available for work on off shifts and weekends to review inventory needs and requirements.
23.
Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements: 1.
Minimum of three years of Inventory/Materials Management experience in a healthcare setting required.
2.
One year of supervisory experience preferred 3.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek assistance as appropriate 4.
Knowledge of procurement concepts and automated resource management systems purchasing procedures for Materials Management required 5.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
6.
Workday for Materials Management knowledge or similar inventory management system experience.
7.
Good communication (verbal, written, computer) and positive customer service skills required.
Physical/Environmental Requirements This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs.
There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting.
Constant use of hearing, sight and speech.
Frequent use of smell and touch.
Frequent keyboard and telephone use.
Constant concentration and problem solving.
