The *Aquatics Director *oversees the camp’s waterfront activity areas, including but not limited to pools and pond for water sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, pedal boats, canoeing, etc).
The person in this role is responsible for:
* Attending a Leadership Team summit and training (before camp)
* Facilitating program-specific and general training sessions at all-staff pre-camp orientation
* Implementing plans for creative, safe swimming lessons
* Training, overseeing, and managing staff who facilitate waterfront program
* Ordering and managing supplies
* Supporting the Camp Wing Leadership Team with space oversight, camper management, welcome/departure presence, transition supervision, etc.

* Experience: Background at camp or working with youth (required)
*Essential Functions: *
The essential functions for an Aquatics Director include the ability to support the physical/social/emotional needs of youth aged 7-13 as well as work collaboratively with all members of staff.
This person must be able to provide waterfront activity instruction to campers, guide staff to do the same, and foster a safe learning environment across a large camp site.
This person should expect minimal use of personal technology during working hours.
The Aquatics Director must be able to assist campers in an emergency situation and possess the endurance required to maintain full-day outdoor supervision of young people.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills required; current American Red Cross lifeguard certification required.
