In 1935, the Blake Brothers opened their first ice cream shoppe in Springfield, Massachusetts and named it “Friendly.
” The name was a promise that the shoppe would be a friendly place for families to create lasting memories while enjoying handcrafted ice cream that was made fresh daily.
Today, we still believe in that promise which is why our creamery is dedicated to using only high quality, locally sourced ingredients and even some of the Blake’s original recipes.

*We are currently searching for an Assistant Manager for our Boston South Shore locations:*
*South Weymouth, Norwood, Pembroke, and Plymouth*
*50-hour workweek, 5 shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends*
*Our Leaders are supported by our owner that runs day to day operations for all our locations.

*Job Summary*
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic vision for Friendly’s – fostering a culture that demonstrates pride in Friendly’s to the Guest and team members.
Develops, directs and supervises Shift Managers and hourly Team Members to attain sales and profit objectives while maintaining the integrity of the brand, the highest standards of food quality, hospitality, beverage, cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
*Key Performance Functions*
* Upholds Friendly’s mission, vision, philosophy and core values through behavior and action
* Clearly and consistently communicate all Friendly’s policies and procedures and hold team members accountable for compliance.
* Has a strong presence in the front of the house to guarantee that the Guests have an outstanding experience every time they visit Friendly’s.
· Ensures a safe and harassment-free environment for all Team Members and Shift Managers.
· Oversees and assists with the inventory, purchasing, receiving, and storage of Company specified products.
* Maintains professional restaurant and team member image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
* Ensures building, equipment, furniture and fixtures are in good repair, clean and maintained on a regular basis.
* Hires, trains, coaches and counsels Team Members and is committed to their professional development.
* Creates Supervisor and Team member schedules, following established Company guidelines and procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal/listening/communication skills
* Excellent problem resolution/Guest recovery skills.
* Inspires cooperation and teamwork through self-confidence, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
* Remains positive and calm under stressful conditions.
