Snell Acoustics Type E II Speakers - $395 (Stoughton)

Beautiful re-built pair of early Snell E II floor standing speakers, originally manufactured in Haverhill, Mass in the mid-80's.
I acquired the cabinets a few years back with crossovers and grilles.

no drivers.
I sourced original Tonegen front-firing tweeters and Vifa rear-firing tweeters.
Instead of searching for original Seas paper cone woofers with foam surrounds, I opted for new Peerless 831758 polypropylene cones with butyl rubber surrounds.
Crossovers are original and have not been recapped.
The real oak veneer cabinets have been lightly wet sanded with fine-grade steel wool and treated with Howard's Restore-A-Finish and Howard's Feed-N-Wax.
Grille fabric and logo badges are all original.
This pair looks great and sound fantastic.
