POSITION: Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher (This is a vacancy due to a leave of absence) Furnace Brook Middle School STARTING DATE: Approximately January 2, 2024 until the end of the 2023-2024 school year, scheduled June 11, 2024 SALARY: $125.
00 per day for first 20 days; (Bachelors, Step 1) $290.
93 per day starting 21st day ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY: Directly responsible to Special Education Department Head, Building Principal, and Director Special Education/Pupil Personnel QUALIFICATIONS: Masters preferred; MA DESE License: Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5-12) required; Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans and Individualized Education Programs; Knowledge of crisis intervention, strong parent communication skills, ability to conduct behavioral assessments/observations.
