Kitchen Assistant/ Float

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant faculty member to aid with kitchen duties and teacher break coverage during the hours of 10am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Primrose School of Mansfield is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational childcare experience.
We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.
Primary Responsibilities: · Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Assist Chef with preparing meals and snacks for students; Deliver meals and snacks to classrooms per schedule; Assist in preparing foods for special events as needed.
· Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and appliances and store food supplies, in accordance with sanitation and safety regulations and procedures.

· To perform other related duties and task as assigned.
Cover breaks in classroom as required.
· Responsible for the overall supervision and class functions of a given group of children when covering teacher’s breaks.
· Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
· Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of/at (school name) Employee Handbook.
· Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Mansfield and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children · Desired skills and experience: · Previous kitchen experience and ServSafe certificate preferred.
· Previous assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
· Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children · Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
