Long Term Substitute - Special Education Teacher, Canton High School

Canton High School is seeking a skilled and dynamic special educator for a long term substitute position from March 11- April 22,2024.
This professional will support students through specialized instruction in our Academic Strategies courses, as well as co-teach academic courses with content-specific teachers.
Job Description Provide specialized academic instruction to students with identified learning challenges/disabilties Collaborate with teachers, service providers, Educational Assistants and ABAs to provide accommodations and modifications to the curriculum as needed Consult with support staff and teachers on a regular basis to develop/maintain instructional practices and routines that best support students in the classroom setting to ensure access to the curriculum Serve as a liaison for student caseload Communicate with families in a consistent manner Collect data for IEP goals and team meetings Build positive relationships with students, staff and the CHS community Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Services, Team Chair, and the building administrators.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Valid MA licensure in Special Education (moderate) Preferred: Prior experience as a special education teacher or similar
