Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Anticipated Opening(s) Guidance Counselor(s) It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public Schools.
Pending the budget adoption and available funding and pursuant to the terms of the contract between the City of Brockton School Committee and the Brockton Education Association, the position of Guidance Counselor is being advertised.
This position may be at Brockton High School, a Middle School, an Elementary School, or any other school site depending on the needs of the system.
This position may be in the Bilingual Department, also.
This notice will serve as the announcement for all open guidance positions which may occur between the close of school and September 1, 2024.
Names of specific schools where position may become available will be provided to all applicants as that information is finalized.
This position is dependent upon funding.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Masters degree from an institution accredited by the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or other regional accrediting institution with a major in the field of guidance.
2.
Guidance license from the Massachusetts DESE.
The position of Guidance Counselor will be compensated at the rate of a $750 differential.
Please note: some guidance counselors work additional days during the summer.
