Moran, Assistant Superintendent for Human ResourcesSubject: Career and Technical Education Pathways Coaches for Step-Up Program at Edison Day AcademyJob Description: The Step-Up program will provide individualized support to Edison Day Academy students who have been retained, are in danger of being retained, exhibit poor attendance, and who are over age and under-credited for their grade level.
The CTE Pathways Coach will work with Edison Day Academy administration to provide students with opportunities to enroll in career exploratory classes at Brockton High School.
The coach will teach a career exploratory class that helps students understand the skills needed in careers such as culinary arts, information technology/business, carpentry, and health care.
Qualifications: Massachusetts Teaching/CTE licenseExperience working with high school students.
Responsibilities: Teach a Career Exploratory Course in the areas of culinary arts, information technology/business, carpentry or health care.
Follow BHS CTE Department curriculum course guidelines.
Design lessons plans and assessments that are aligned to CTE standards and responsive to the needs of Edison Academy students.
Work with Guidance Counselor and Graduation Coaches to develop and implement course curriculum.
Maintain attendance and course data.
