We are seeking to employ an Educational Coordinator in our Brockton location.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Child Care Director, the Educational Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, promoting and implementing quality care for all children.
The Coordinator should have good judgement, an ability to weigh priorities, adaptability to changing policies and practices and the ability to coach others.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.
Understand the Creative Curriculum Model from lesson plans and assessing to reporting, to connecting with families and to growing each staff's professional knowledge on an ongoing basis
Create monthly newsletters, keeping a parent board up to date and planning family engagement activities
Conduct monthly classroom observations, document and maintain log books
SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:
Assist with monthly mandatory staff meetings
Assist with supervising, training and evaluating staff and volunteers.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Required):
Minimum of 21 years of age
Must meet all requirements for the EEC Director/Lead Teacher Certification.
Minimum of two years supervision/management experience
Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months
Minimum of two years classroom experience
