Bring Your Passion to Our Mission! As American Swim Instructor, the Y is the most accessible community resource to prevent drowning and encourage a lifelong enjoyment of swimming - teaching more than one million kids a year swimming and water safety skills.
The latest evolution of Y Swim Lessons accommodates varying abilities to help foster a sense of achievement as swimmers progress between levels.
Through this approach, advanced swimmers flow more easily to higher levels while swimmers who need more instruction can learn at their own pace.
This results in more confident swimmers who stick with lessons and develop a love for swimming that can last a lifetime.
Positon Description: The Head Swim Instructor organizes and implements safe, high quality, member-focused YMCA aquatic programs and drives the management of the aquatics instructional team.
The Head Swim Instructor works closely with the Aquatics Operations Manager and staff from both branches (Quincy and Emilson) to create symmetry and cohesion for YSL Curriculum, standards, operations and programming.
The Head Swim Instructor also plays a key role in the front line operations of the department and will actively participate in the instruction of YSL Swim Classes at Emilson as well as assist with lifeguarding as needed.
(Roughly 30/10 split with hourly responsibilities), subject to change with need and season.
