The Swim School Deck Coordinator manages the swim lesson assigned shifts.
This includes supervision of on-deck employees, maintenance of the pool environment and equipment, interaction with students and parents, completing necessary documents, providing documentation, and ensuring the Club is providing a safe swimming environment for all members and guests.
The Deck Coordinator is an expert on all levels of the swim lesson curriculum and demonstrates thorough knowledge of WAVES Swim School management policies and practices.
Job Responsibilities
· Ensure all swim instructors are on time, in proper uniform, and abide by all Weymouth Club policies as outlined in the company handbook.
· Manage participant swim lesson check-in, identify for parents what section of the pool their child’s lesson is located and their respective teacher.
· Communicate with swim school instructors to Identify children who are moving up a level, be prepared to assist parents in rescheduling lessons to the next level.
· Conduct daily pre-shift meeting, and prepare the deck, classroom, and equipment for lessons.
· Complete Daily Deck Coordinator log and monitor attendance using on-deck lap-top or tablet.
· Coordinate daily swim verbal evaluations, close new enrollments
· Interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress, ensure customer satisfaction, assist with ongoing enrollment, and provide necessary forms and information to swim school administrator.
· Coordinate tasks required to ensure the cleanliness of the pool facility.
· Coordinate with Swim School Manager and Aquatics Director, scheduling replacements for absent swim instructors.
· Implement corrective action through in-services or other training.
· Help the Swim School Manager with all new hire training, orientation, and onboarding.
· Education members and guests about private lesson inquires, forward all viable inquiries to Swim School Manager.
· Assist with monthly special events to create enthusiasm for the Weymouth Club Waves Swim Program.
· Additional duties may be assigned.
