is hiring Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K
Assistant Teachers to become part of our school family.
We are looking for candidates who

The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented and patient.
They
should also be able to establish a warm and nurturing relationship with children and families
alike.
The successful candidate should also have excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal, as well as basic technology skills.
They must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks
efficiently and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
Essential Responsibilities:
Create a safe and welcoming environment for children.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Assist with children’s daily needs such as feeding, changing and providing support as needed.
Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times with other educators.
Assist lead teacher in planning age-appropriate lesson plans for classroom in the areas of art, sensory, science, math, and literacy using the Frog Street Curriculum.
Help to create an environment that fosters learning through developmentally appropriate activities and guided play.
Determine what materials are needed for classroom success.
Use age-appropriate guidance and discipline techniques.
Effectively assist in communicating with families through daily interactions, conferences and our parent communication app Procare
Assist the classroom Teacher in observations each child to help them improve their social and academic competencies and build self-esteem.
Collaborate and work effectively with The Magical Years School Family.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
The Magical Years assistant with getting assistants teacher certified through The
Department of Early Education and Care.
0-1+ years’ experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age
Complete CORI
FA and CPR preferred but not required.
Training opportunities available.
Strong written oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
Ability to solve problems
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
Must have reliable transportation
Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Must be willing to be flexible and adaptable
Physical Requirements
The demands of this job require candidate to sit, stand, walk, bend, jump, reach and lift
equipment and children up to 50 pounds.
This position often requires the candidate to be
outdoors, to drive, to crawl, stoop balance, walk up and down stairs and run.
