I.
: 1.
Degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, or other relevant area 2.
Current DESE Certification 3.
Experience working with special education students ages 14-22 preferred 4.
Current MA 7D License (we will help you obtain and training available upon hire) 5.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people (Students, Parents/Guardians, Job Coaches, On-site Employers/Supervisors, Transportation Companies, Adult Service Agencies, DMV, Social Security Office).
II.
: *July 8, 2024-August 8, 2024* *Mon-Thursday 8:00-1:00 flexible (20-24 hours per week)* *Transition Team meeting TBD Late June* III.
: *Assistant Executive Director* IV.
: 1.
Provide supervision of students at all times to ensure their health and safety.
2.
Provide training and assistance to students during community outings and at job sites, which may require assistance with lifting approximately 30-50 pounds.
3.
Act as a resource person for students, parents, and community partners 4.
Match students with jobs based on interests and abilities through a person-centered planning and strengths-based model 1.
Assist Program Coordinator with activities related to referrals of students 2.
Monitor and assess students according to skills outlined on individualized job performance sheets.
3.
Maintain organized daily charts, records and/or logs related to student performance.
4.
Implement behavioral plans as needed.
5.
Conduct task analysis of new jobs at worksites.
6.
Administer career interest inventories and transition assessments.
7.
Provide feedback on student progress regularly.
8.
Attend student transition and/or IEP meetings as required 9.
Transport students to worksites and community outings (requires a 7D pupil transport license).
10.
Facilitate ongoing group transition discussions and plan, implement, and assess transition curriculum.
11.
Complete and maintain special education records and documentation in compliance with all State and Federal regulations (including IEP development and quarterly Progress Reports).
12.
Attend and participate in in-service training programs including maintenance of 7D trainings (provided through NRC) 13.
Abide by policies as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies & Procedures Handbook 14.
Any other related duties as assigned by the Administration.
