My son Jamie is Autistic and Non-verbal.
He is for the most part self-sufficient but does require assistance with dressing, eating and must be CONSTANTLY monitored to prevent any self injurious behavior and avoid elopment.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional care for a 26 year old male who is Autistic and Non-verbal.
Person selected MUST pass a CORI (criminal offender record information) Check, and be fingerprinted.
A driver's license that is valid is also required.
Prefer a female over 35 that has experience with caring for handicapped individuals.
Duties:
- Provide attentive care with feeding, grooming, dressing.
- Create a safe and stimulating environment.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, such as outdoor play.
- Prepare meals and snacks for him, ensuring they receive proper nutrition
- Assist with bathing, dressing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas, bedrooms, and common areas
- Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, discipline, and any specific care needs
- Monitor child's behavior and address any issues or concerns in a calm and appropriate manner
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, nannying, or daycare settings preferred
- Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Reliable transportation to commute to the job location

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
