Accounts Payable Specialist

Who we are: The Vetcor team is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Accounting.
This person will support all AP functions for our hospital groups.
Along with our other home office team members, the AP Specialist will play an important role in supporting our practices so they can focus on providing outstanding care to pets in their communities.
This role can be a mix of both remote and hybrid work, however we need the person to be available Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm EST.
We are open to remote-only candidates.

Job Responsbilities: Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment.
Verify the accouracy of vendor invoices and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.
Verify and create new vendors in our accounting system with accuracy.
Inspect paid and unpaid invoices including cleared payment inquires and check voiding to maintain accurate files and records according to company standards.
Receive, review, and prepare preferred vendor system uploads in excel and maintain relationships with vendor representatives.
